TRAVEL INSURANCE
Cancellation insurance should always be seriously considered before booking any tour. First Cabin Travel will provide a recommended insurance plan at the time of booking. First Cabin Travel Corporation cannot be responsible for any kind of personal injury, accident, illness, or for the possible loss or damage to luggage or personal property. Travel insurance is highly recommended prior to confirming a booking to insure that any pre-health conditions are noted and covered within the plan.
TOUR PRICE INCLUDES:
Deluxe, first class 4 or 5 star hotels available based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with a private bath. Travelers occupying single rooms will be charged a single supplement in addition to the quoted rate for each tour, which is based on shared occupancy. Junior or full suites may be available at an additional cost.
MEALS:
Breakfast meals are included on all tours. Lunch meals are included as well on certain pre-planned journeys as depicted within the itineraries highlighted on the website. Breakfast meals begin with the first breakfast meal after arrival overseas and end with the breakfast meal on the day of departure. On all pre-planned journeys and custom tours, breakfast is served table d’hôte at an assigned restaurant within the hotel. Room service is not included for breakfast meals. Local mineral water will be served at the meals. Should one choose to order imported mineral water (Perrier or Evian or similar) such charge will be placed upon their personal account. On most pre-planned journeys, lunches are included on most days of travel. These lunches are served at popular local restaurants, table d’hôte, generally providing a selection of dishes for which the restaurant is best known. On Custom tours, breakfast only is provided, following the format as outline above. The local guides on tour are well versed in which local restaurants offer both great cuisine and ambiance or travelers may select one of the restaurants within their accommodation for each of their meals. On occasion, when sightseeing requires a distance to travel, it is makes best sense to find a popular local restaurant rather than travel back to the hotel for lunch.
SIGHTSEEING AND TRANSPORTATION
Transport between airports, hotels, and all touring will be provided in private SUV vehicles or vans allowing for wider window views to enjoy the sights en route to the next destination. Sightseeing to all destinations as written within the itinerary is included. Should a traveler wish to make use of the transport outside of the previously arranged tour program, be it a pre-planned tour or custom itinerary, the driver must first seek permission and thereafter perhaps add a surcharge for the service.
GRATUITIES
It is customary to reward both driver and guide with a gratuity at the end of the service, the amount of which is left to the traveler’s discretion. First Cabin will provide a multi-page advisory sheet prior to departure that highlights weather conditions likely at the time of year for the tour, local customs, visa requirements and among other subjects, a recommended guide for tipping.
LUGGAGE
Airlines have become rather strict regarding both the amount, size and weight of the luggage allowed in flight. Normally, flying economy class, each traveler is allowed to check-in 44 lbs of weight in their luggage. Carry-ons must be limited in size and at times are limited to one carry-on per person. Most airlines are strict about overweight and will charge each passenger added fees prior to issuing a boarding pass. These added fees are the responsibility of the traveler to settle with the airline at the time of boarding.
COSTS NOT INCLUDED
Round trip trans-oceanic airfare to and from the gateway city noted within all pre-planned itineraries, and those chosen within custom itineraries is not included. Nor are airport taxes, visa and passport fees, inoculations, personal necessities, including laundry, wine, liquor, cover charges, excess baggage fees, health and accident insurance, items not on the regular breakfast meals or served table d’hôte at lunch meals, any imported mineral water, and any and all other items not listed as included.
